WHAT IS SS-ROAD KILL:
Super Sonic The Road Kill is a relatively simple game where you jump around and fall and at the same time dodge snakes and watch out for boiling lava while balancing on moving logs. The game uses 16 colors and includes an editor for you to design your own worlds to jump around in.
THE GOAL AND THE OBSTACLES:
The goal of the game is to get to the exit of the level you are on, only to find yourself in another level. You can't win SS-RoadKill, because once you pass the last level, you're back on the first again, but never-the-less its fun.
Inbetween you and the exit are many obstacles including walls, snakes, lava pits, vanishing blocks and other nuisances. There are also (of course) things to help you, such as latters, escalators, rolling logs, bonus points and extra lives.
Luckily you have one thing you never have to worry about, and that is falling. In the fictional world I created through this game, gravity is no longer 9.8 meters per second per second. Instead gravity is a constant speed, not an acceleration, and because of this, no matter how far you fall you never speed up, and therefore you never get hurt.
THE KEYS:
To move through the maze you need to use the number pad (4,8,6, and 2) or use I,J,K and L. To quit hit Q. To win hit W, and to die hit D. Not many other games let you do those two things. Now, of course if you want to have more fun, you can make more levels for yourself or your friends by hitting E.
THE EDITOR:
Once you have hit E to get into the editor, you can alter the levels. Hit + or - to go forward and backward through the levels. Hit N to create a new level or hit Q to go back to the playing mode. When you are in the editor, you can move your smiley face around using the normal keys, and you can change the block your smiley face is on using [ and ] to scroll through the list of types of blocks. To set the starting position of the level, simply move your smiley face to the point where players should start and then save (by switching levels or hitting Q).
Note that whenever you change levels, it automatically saves your changes (also when you hit Q), in order to not save changes you have to hit R to revert.
